Proof That Fat Men Can Jump [VIDEO]

People like to look at someone's body or even just their weight and make assumptions about them. They see a person that weighs 317 pounds and immediately assume that they must be an out-of-shape fatass. However, when they find out the fat ass in question is actually a professional football player--like Philadelphia Eagles offensive lineman Lane Johnson--they relax their stance a little. Yes, 317 pounds is still pretty hefty and offensive lineman is often a little on the hefty side. Okay--fat.

That does not mean they can't be incredible athlete anyway. I can remember watching a game many years ago when Troy Aikman threw an interception to a Saints linebacker in stride, heading towards the end zone. Cowboys lineman Larry Allen, who was fat, broke away from his defender at the line of scrimmage and chased him down before he could make it to the end zone. It was the end of the first half, so the interception didn't end up hurting the team.

Anway...so along those lines, I present to you another example of large and in charge athleticism--317-pound Philadelphia Eagles offensive lineman Lane Johnson throwing down a reverse dunk after a leg workout.

Day 22: It Was A Diet-Killing Kind Of Day--But Nothing Died

It was one of those days. You know the one I'm talking about. The kind of day that makes you want to put on a tiny cut, rip up your precious sale, make a movie with David Spade or go live in a van down by the river. Since that didn't work out so well for one of the funniest fat guys to ever grace the big and small screen, so instead I'll call it the kind of day that calls for a bag of Red Vine licorice to snack on while working.

That, and a large chocolate chip frappe.

Baylor Big Man LaQuan McGowan Representing Fat Guys Everywhere At Baylor's Pro Day [VIDEO]

People do not look at fat guys and think, "Damn, that boy is athletic as hell!" Maybe they'll give him credit for being strong, but more often than not they wonder how much he can put away at Golden Corral. There is a good chance that Baylor tight end LaQuan McGowan can put a Golden Corral out of business, but there is no denying that the man is athletic as hell.

Some of his numbers would be unimpressive if he was a normal sized fat guy, but he is a 6'6" 405-pound man-mountain. Here he is bench-pressing during Baylor's Pro Day Wednesday:

Day 15: Motivation Is In The Eye Of The Beholder

In the past, there has been one major issue with my attempts to get a workout routine started again--consistency. I'd go one day, then miss for one reason or another for the next six days, and then get in another day. If I actually got to the second workout I didn't get to the third (after making any of a number of excuses; some good, some not so good).

Part of the problem is the lack of an incentive.

Why Are Public Toilets So Anti-Fat Guy?

If there is one thing you can count on from fat guys, it is that they are going to have to go to the bathroom quite a bit. It's nature. When you eat as much as we do--and especially what we often do eat--nature is going to call. When it does, you are going to have to answer no matter where you are.

Businesses, restaurants, movie theaters, and countless other public establishments know this so they have bathrooms for the public to use. However, even though they know that the majority of the country is overweight their toilets cater to the minority--skinny people.

This Sh*T Sucks! (and that's a good thing)

I used to be a gym rat back in the day. I loved working out. If I had to miss time in the gym I'd get cranky and bent out of shape--that is, unless it was football season. During the season I'd still lift a little, but not nearly as much or a hard. No matter what I did during the season, when the season was over and it as time to hit it hard again there was one thing I could count on.

It was going to hurt like hell the next morning.

It Has Begun--and This Time I Mean It!

When I first set up this blog I had a vision of using it to rant and rave about anything I felt like ranting on (hence the 'Mad' part in the name), but I never really got it going. I think it was because the purpose was too broad. It needed to be something I was passionate about, and I am not a 'mad' person by nature so I never felt the need to write it.

It needed to have more of a direction. So I thought about it and thought about it and went to my doctor and thought some more. Then it came to me.
